what ledger is
Ledger is a free-to-play prediction game. You make calls on real games with a free virtual currency, and the only score that lasts is your record of what you got right.
It is for adults who love the read, not the risk: people who argue picks with friends, follow the line, and want something to prove with nothing to lose. It runs in the browser on any device, and a first call takes no signup.
The Board is the heart of it. The same Float also plays the Exchange, where a read on crypto and stocks meets real quotes, and an Arcade kept behind a gate, where chance is named as chance. Neither room writes Standing. Only a real result the server has graded does.
Ledger is not the wallet. It shares a name with a hardware wallet brand and nothing else.
where it sits in the studio
Ledger is on the studio’s experiences line, and it carries the hardest version of the first law in the portfolio.

how it works
One loop: open the board, make a call, let a real result settle it, keep the record.

- Tonight’s real games and their lines. Tap a market to load the slip.
- a call
- Your pick, placed with Float. One call is enough to start.
- Float
- Free virtual currency with no cash value. It refills every day, 500 as a base and more with each level, up to 1,500 a day. The Dividend adds free Float every week. No money buys it, and it can never become money.
- Standing
- Your permanent record. Only a call the server has graded against the real result writes it, and it is never taken away. Calls the server did not witness, parlays, Pick 6 and the Showdown pay Float only, and say so.
- the server ledger
- Signed in, your Float and Standing are the sum of an append-only ledger on the server, not a number your browser reports. Caps fall on profit, never on what you put in, and when the server refuses a credit the screen says why.
- how a call is judged
- By official results. Ledger never invents an outcome. A void returns the Float to both sides.
- Scout
- An AI model from Anthropic, and it says so. Scout explains a line in plain words and never names a side or a size. Its one unprompted call is the Call of the Day, chosen by fixed rules, published before the event and graded in public, losses included.
- when it is not fun
- If anything typed to Scout, on the Exchange or in Board search reads as crisis or gambling distress, a fixed reply with 988 or 1-800-GAMBLER answers first, before any model, limit or route.
- guest play
- Play right away with no account, with progress kept on your device. An account asks for no email: a display name and a recovery code. Standing built as a guest comes over once, up to 2,500, and is marked unverified wherever it shows.

- Live, Tonight, Futures, On Air and the Short Game, all one room. Calls on real games and real events, graded by what happened.
- the Exchange
- Crypto and stocks at real quotes, in Float. Simple fills at the quoted price with no fee and no spread. Advanced fills against a book, live for coins and simulated for stocks, crosses the spread and pays 0.10% in Float. Stocks fill only in market hours. A risk meter states the share of Float at risk and never advises. Standing never moves here.
- the Arcade
- Behind a gate, and Scout never sends you there. Decision rooms: the Pit, the Backroom, the Blotter and the Morning Line. Chance rooms: the Card Room, the Wheel, the Ascent and the Reels, each opening on one sentence, this is luck, not a read. The Backroom takes three buy-ins a day, every one counted.
- the rest of the house
- Circles for friends, a scoreboard and never a pot. The Vault, with printed odds and nothing that pays out. The Showdown, the Case and the Reckoning, a weekly recap sealed into the record.
the contract
The missing money is the whole premise. These rules hold on every surface.
- virtual currency only, always. no deposits, no cash-out, no prizes of monetary value. no mechanic may open a path back to a dollar.
- only a real result writes Standing. settlement follows official results, never a simulated outcome.
- the AI is graded too. Scout’s calls are public and scored. graded, not gospel.
- explain, never push. Scout says what a line means, not what to play, how much, or how often. its own daily call is explained and pointed at its record, never talked up, and a streak is never cheered.
- help answers first. a crisis or distress message gets 988 or 1-800-GAMBLER before any model, spending ceiling or route, and a help page never reports a visitor to an ad network.
- chance is named as chance. no chance room is featured, no best return sits on a chance door, and no brake can be walked around.
- every claim is backed by code that ships. when the code and a public line disagree, the line changes or the code does, the same week.
- for adults. 18 and older, and the line to 1-800-GAMBLER is one tap away for anyone it has stopped being fun for.
voice
Direct, dark-first, never shaming. Short declaratives: Float refills every week. Standing is the record.
Headlines are sentence case. Float and Standing are always capitalized, and each is defined the first time it appears: Float is free virtual currency, Standing is your record.
words we use
words we do not
No line may imply winnings. Scout never talks like a tout: no lean, no warm sell, no hot hand. A promise about tomorrow needs code that keeps it today, so say what is true now. Studio rules apply everywhere: no em dashes, no exclamation points, no wellness language.
visual system
Near-black grounds and two currencies with two colors that never merge: gold for Float, mint for Standing.
One face: Hanken Grotesk, 400 to 800, with 400 italic for quoted lines. Odds and records use tabular figures so columns align on the board.
chance rooms
Art on a chance room never sells the win: no coin stacks, gift boxes, confetti or a row of sevens. The Wheel’s door is the engraved wheel. Profit and loss belong in neutral ink, not flashing red and green; the Exchange does not meet that yet, and the open file says so.
the exit
A result is enough. Ledger is built so a person can walk away with their record and nothing owed.
There is nothing to cash out because there was never anything to lose. The measure of Ledger working is a person who makes sharper calls and keeps a record they are proud of. Time on the board is not the goal.
Leaving takes everything with it. Deleting an account removes its ledger rows and its Blind reads along with the account, and the export carries every place the account’s data lives, or names the place it could not read.

Where the product does not yet keep this book’s promises. Read from the October 12 assessment and checked against the code on October 14; anything since fixed has left the list.

closed since october 12
A crisis message no longer meets a spending ceiling, a busy reply or the Exchange explainer, and a reply in a risk conversation that never names 988 gets a fixed line that does. Every Backroom buy-in counts again. The support page loads no ad tag and reports nothing to Google, and the app’s own events stay on the device. Closing an Exchange position no longer erases Float, Standing comes only from server grades, and new accounts open at the starting purse. Deletion and export cover everything. The Exchange draws no invented candles, fills no stock after hours and shows no exit that does not fire. Fifteen public claims now match the code. Chance doors show no best return, a chance room is never featured, and the luck line is back. Invites land where they point after the age gate.
held, by decision
No page claims where Ledger is legal until counsel has read it. Membership checkout is not live, and no one can pay money anywhere in the product.
