Brand Identity System · First Draft v0.1 · A Martori Studio Company

Fieldhouse

Every deal, cleared.

The compliance-first operating system for NIL collectives: build deals that clear the clearinghouse, document fair-market value automatically, and keep a record that holds up.

Sector: College Sports / NIL B2B Day-one customer: NIL Collectives Prepared: July 17, 2026
01 · The Opportunity

A brand-new compliance burden, landing on the least-tooled operators.

The House v. NCAA settlement (final June 6, 2025) let schools pay athletes directly and stood up an enforcement regime overnight. Every third-party NIL deal of $600+ now runs through "NIL Go," a Deloitte-built clearinghouse that tests each deal for valid business purpose and fair-market value. Collectives, who still move roughly 80% of NIL dollars, are suddenly running an audit-grade compliance operation on QuickBooks, spreadsheets, and DocuSign.

$2.5B+
Total NIL market, 2025/26, once school revenue-share is layered in.
Opendorse
$20.5M
Per-school revenue-share cap for 2025/26: a new dollar-tracking problem.
House settlement
524
Deals rejected by NIL Go through Dec 2025 for FMV / business-purpose failures.
College Sports Commission
~11K
Athletes with disclosed $600+ deals in the first six months, and climbing.
CSC / NIL Go
The incumbents (Teamworks, Opendorse, Learfield) built for the biggest athletic departments and brands. Fieldhouse builds for the collective: the operator with the most exposure and the least infrastructure.

The wedge: land as the deal-clearance layer: structure a deal, auto-generate the fair-market-value and business-purpose documentation NIL Go wants, route the $600 disclosure, and keep an audit-proof record. Then expand into the full back office: donor CRM, payment orchestration, and cap-aware reporting. Compliance is the wedge; the operating system is the market.

02 · Brand Strategy

Make every NIL dollar defensible.

Fieldhouse gives collectives the infrastructure to operate like institutions: transparent, compliant, and built to outlast the gray-zone era of college sports.

Positioning: For NIL collectives operating under the House settlement, Fieldhouse is the compliance-first operating system that turns every booster dollar into a clean, clearinghouse-ready, audit-proof deal, because unlike spreadsheets, DocuSign, and tools built for the biggest programs, Fieldhouse is built for how collectives actually work.
Pillar 01

Clearance, built in

Compliance is never a bolt-on. Every deal is structured to pass NIL Go from the first click: FMV and business purpose documented as you build, not scrambled after the fact.

Pillar 02

Proof over promises

An audit-proof record for every dollar. Immutable logs, exportable packages, and documentation that survives review by the clearinghouse, a donor, or a court.

Pillar 03

Built for the field

Designed for collectives and the long tail of programs the incumbents overlook, not just the blue-bloods. Affordable, fast to adopt, opinionated about what matters.

Pillar 04

Quietly powerful

Institutional-grade under the hood, effortless on the surface. Smart, purpose-driven infrastructure for a fair game: the Martori Studio signature.

Personality: the trusted operator. Steady, exact, confident, and on your side: the sports insider who also happens to be the most organized person in the room. Not hype. Not legalese.

Brand promise: Every deal, cleared.  ·  Endorsement: a standalone brand, backed by Martori Studio, the same model as Sanctuary.

03 · Naming

Fieldhouse.

A fieldhouse is where a team trains, operates, and keeps its house in order: the home base behind the performance on the field. It reframes the collective from a booster slush fund into a real operating organization. It's warm, credible, institutional, and easy to say; it earns a confident wordmark and a mark built from the chalk lines of the field itself.

First-draft names, not cleared marks. Every candidate needs USPTO trademark screening (esp. Class 9/42 software), plus domain and social-handle checks, before adoption. "Fieldhouse" is a common word: expect to need a distinguishing suffix or a defensible logo/wordmark lockup. Treat this as creative direction to react to, not a finalized name.
05 · Color

Scarlet and black, evolved.

A subtle nod to Texas Tech's Scarlet & Black, pulled off the field and into a premium B2B system. Fieldhouse Scarlet is a cleaner, slightly brighter evolution of Raider Red, paired with a warm near-black Ink and an ownable bone neutral, Chalk, the color of the lines on the field. The result reads institutional and modern, never collegiate-athletic.

Primary. CTAs, the mark, headlines, key accents.
Deep Scarlet

Hover / pressed states, dense scarlet type.

FUNCTIONAL · THE DEAL-STATUS SYSTEM

The product's heartbeat is a deal moving through clearance. These four states carry meaning everywhere (chips, tables, timelines, exports) and are deliberately held apart from brand scarlet so brand never reads as error.

Texas Tech lineage & a caveat: Official TTU athletics scarlet is #C30020 / PMS 186; aggregators list #CC0000. Fieldhouse Scarlet #C8102E is intentionally its own mark: close enough to nod, distinct enough to own. Confirm final production values against the current TTU brand guidelines if you want the homage tighter.

06 · Typography

Institution, engineering, ledger.

Three open-licensed families that map to the three jobs of a compliance product: a wide, confident display face for authority; a clean, engineered workhorse for dense UI; and a monospace for the numbers that have to be exact.

07 · Motif & Artwork

The field is a ledger.

The signature texture is a generative field of hash marks: the measurement ticks of a playing field, arranged in the even rhythm of a ledger. Most ticks are quiet chalk; a sparse few resolve to scarlet and green, the deals that cleared. It's the whole thesis in one pattern: order, measurement, and clearance.

The "Cleared" Seal

A goalpost split by a check: "good, it's through." A trust stamp collectives can place on cleared documentation, exports, and the audit record. Ownable proof, at a glance.

Iconography & imagery

Line icons drawn on a 2px grid with rounded caps, same weight as the mark's bars.
Photography: real operators, stadium architecture, documents, desaturated with a scarlet spot, never stocky "high-five" clichés.
Use the hash-field as a quiet background texture, never louder than the content on top of it.
08 · Voice & Tone

Clear, exact, on your side.

We sound like the most organized person in the room: a sports insider who reads the rulebook so you don't have to. Compliance-serious, but human. Precision is how we earn trust; plain language is how we keep it.

ClearClarity over cleverness. If a booster and a compliance officer can't both understand it, rewrite it.
ExactNever vague. Name the deal, the dollar, the deadline. Specifics are what survive an audit, and what build confidence.
CalmConfident, not loud. No hype, no exclamation points, no fear-mongering about the NCAA. Steady is the whole brand.
AllyOn the operator's side. "We'll prep it" and "here's what's missing," never "you failed to comply."
DoShort declaratives. Concrete nouns: deal, dollar, disclosure, record. Sports literacy used knowingly and sparingly.
Don't"Disrupt," "revolutionary," crypto energy, legalese dumps, or emojis in-product. No scolding. No manufactured urgency.
TaglineEvery deal, cleared.
